Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game in which two teams of five players strive to collectively destroy an enemy team’s “Ancient” while protecting their own. The game, like Defense of the Ancients, is played with traditional real-time strategy controls and is presented in a three-dimensional isometric viewpoint on a single map. Each of the game’s 122 playable characters, called as “heroes,” has its unique design, abilities, and weaknesses, and is controlled by ten players. The core and support roles are the two primary roles that heroes play.
